Dr. Timothy UyPresident and CEO
Dr. Uy founded Loqu8, Inc. in Mountain View, California as a technology research company. The innovative iNtuition knowledge management model represents the culmination of many years of research into cognitive science and information processing and retrieval. He holds a patent (pending) on information retrieval.
Prior to starting Loqu8, Dr. Uy was a senior manager and principal consultant with Gallivan, Gallivan & O’Melia, an electronics discovery firm that specializes in manipulating terabytes of data for forensic acquisition, fingerprinting, data mining and database optimization.
Dr. Uy has co-authored or presented 14 papers on brain imaging
analysis, neural networks and EEG since 2002 in Neuroimage,
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering,
Neurocomputing, Advances in Neural Networks-ISNN and
more. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University,
a M.S. in Applied Physics from Stanford University and a B.S. with
Honors in Applied Physics from California Institute of Technology.
Jim Hsia
VP Marketing
In the past 25 years, Mr. Hsia has developed marketing and expanded sales channels for leading companies in the software, data network communications and digital telephony industries. Before joining Loqu8, Mr. Hsia served as the VP of Marketing for AnQ Systems and held senior positions at Servion Global Solutions, ZNYX Corporation and 5by5 Networks. He has also held other management positions at Asante Technologies, Eagle Technologies, National Semiconductor, 3Com Corporation, Unisys and other publicly-held companies.
As a co-inventor, Mr. Hsia holds 3 U.S. patents for intelligent
network storage products and architecture. He holds a Bachelors in
Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and a
Certificate with Honors in Business Administration, University of
California Extension, Santa Cruz.
