iCE Pronounce

Can pronunciation help you learn Chinese faster? Turn up your audio and double-click on the green play button to hear audio samples of Loqu8's text-to-speech (TTS) capabilities.

In this web demonstration, there will be a delay as the audio file is downloaded and your default MP3 audio player (typically, Microsoft Windows Media Player or Apple QuickTime) is opened.

Loqu8 iCE Pronounce
Loqu8 iCE, with an integrated TTS, pronounces words without any delay. Just select Pronounce (or Ctrl+S) and you'll hear the Mandarin pronunciation immediately for any word or phrase.

The male voice uses Microsoft Simplified Chinese TTS that (included with Loqu8 iCE). The female voice uses Microsoft Lili-Chinese; it's included with Windows Vista (Ultimate and Enterprise editions) and selected versions of Windows Vista sold in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Tips

• When multiple words are selected, iCE will read all the words with a short pause before each word. Press Esc key to stop the pronunciation at any time
   
• Record Loqu8's pronunciation and play back with your iPod or other digital music player. Use an audio recorder like Freecorder (free) to
  record iCE pronunciations when browsing websites
   
• Loqu8 iCE is compatible with SAPI 5.3. Before purchasing additional TTS voices, verify that their voice is not restricted only to specific applications

Demo pronunciations were recorded using Mozilla Firefox 3 and Windows IE 7/8 on Microsoft Windows XP (Male) and Windows Vista Ultimate (Female) systems
